Five former Beast members to debut as new group ‘Highlight’

Months after leaving Cube Entertainment, five of Beast’s former members will have a fresh start as Highlight.

Around Us Entertainment, their new agency, announced that Yoon Doo-joon, Yong Jun-hyung, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon chose Highlight as their new group name. “Highlight” is the title of one of their albums as Beast.

Coincidentally, “Highlight” was the first full-length album they released after Jang Hyun-seung left the group last year.

Despite being well-loved by their fans as “Beast”, the five members, temporarily dubbed by fans as “Yoon-Yong-Yang-Lee-Son”, could not use the name as the group name belongs to Cube Entertainment.

They had tried to gain rights to the name but Cube Entertainment announced that they will be re-launching “Beast” as a three-member group with Jang Hyun-seung and 2 new idols.
