The film also stars two of ABS-CBN’s notable child actors: Xymon Ezekiel “Onyok” Pineda and McNeal “Awra” Briguela, who play the roles of two gay children orphaned at a young age. Paco (Coco Martin), a delinquent and aggressive gang boy, tries to raise his two nephews with Arci, his late sister-in-law’s gay pal.

Moreover, “The Super Parental Guardians” is an enticing follow-up to “Beauty and the Bestie,” shown last year.

The film, which was directed by Joyce Bernal, was rejected alongside other predominant blockbusters in the MMFF, including Vic Sotto’s “Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers,” Ai-Ai de las Alas’ “Our Mighty Yaya” and “Mano Po 7: Tsinoy,” starring Richard Yap. Their previous sequels grossed millions of pesos every year due to its mainstream and humorous themes.
