Angel and Xian in Vilma Santos’ eyes

THREE YEARS after her exceptional performance in the indie movie, “Ekstra,” Vilma Santos returns with another acting challenge in Joyce Bernal’s “Everything About Her,” a family drama that marks her first screen team up with Angel Locsin and Xian Lim.
The Star for All Seasons reveals that she has known Angel for some time because of the actress’ relationship with her son, Luis. “Then, nawala siya, came back and, now, we’re together in this movie! As an artist, I see in her the desire to always improve her craft.
“Angel is focused—and that’s an important asset for an actress to have. I hope we can work again in a rom-com, kasi medyo mabigat sa dibdib itong pelikula namin.”
Vilma also has good words for Xian Lim, who plays her son: “I read negative write-ups about him, but I think he’s misunderstood. He worked hard, and he’s a revelation in our movie!”
“Jologs” is how Vilma describes director Bernal, and she says she admires the way Bernal motivates her actors. The film focuses on two women with strong personalities. In the film, Vivian (Vilma) hires nurse Jaica (Angel)—to conceal her medical condition from her colleagues!
