For the second week in a row, Filipino-American jazz performer Amy Vachal flipped a popular song in the hit US singing show “The Voice.”
Vachal on Tuesday (Monday, US time) gave a jazzy and folksy spin to Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” a week after slowing down Drake’s smash rap hit “Hotline Bling.”

With her unique take on the song, Vachal emerged as the top-performing The Voice artist on iTunes. As of posting time, Vachal ranks fifth, while competitor and fellow Team Adam member Jordan Smith is the only other The Voice artist to make it in the chart’s top 10.
The singers’ standing on the music platform is also counted as a vote apart from the support thrown by viewers through Facebook and the mobile application.
Aside from Vachal and Smith, the other remaining artists on the show are Shelby Brown of Team Adam; Jeffrey Austin, Korin Bukowski and Braiden Sunshine of Team Gwen; Barret Baber, Emily Ann Roberts and Zach Seabaugh of Team Blake; and Madi Davis and Evan Mckeel of Team Pharrell.
