Making waves beyond Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day may long be over but everyone knows that paying tribute to one of the most important person in one’s life should not be limited to one day only. It’s not only ordinary people who try to show moms how important they are. Brands also participate in this yearly celebration to express their gratitude to those who are arguably their most important consumers.
This year, NIDO FORTIGROW from Nestlé Philippines released a short film that was widely acclaimed. Entitled “Different Times, Same Love”, the video captured the hearts of millions of Filipinos by a simple truth expressed through beautiful storytelling.
Publicis Manila, the agency behind the viral film, anchored on a simple reality: mothers these days raise their children very differently from the way their own mothers raised them. While this has made modern moms more unique, it has also made them seek assurance from friends, family, and most importantly, their own mothers.
The film was aired on TV and posted on the brand’s Facebook and Youtube page on Mother’s Day 2015. To date, the video has garnered over 10 million Youtube and Facebook hits, and over 400,000 retweets and shares. NIDO FORTIGROW became a trending topic several times nationwide, and the film has grown to be the world’s second most viewed Nestlé video. On social media, there have been thousands of positive responses from people whose heartstrings have been tugged by this film.
