Trees shed their tattered leaves after being battered by a storm. But, one shouldn’t give them up for dead because, soon after, tiny new leaves will appear.

Similarly, in life, we mustn’t feel hopeless after encountering problems. Let’s get back on the right path and continue our journey to a higher level of existence.

After a downfall, we can rise up again, more humble, enlightened and aware of our weaknesses. We get wiser and more prayerful as we acknowledge the assistance we need from the Supreme Protector, whose mercy we seek.

It isn’t wise to think, “Since I have fallen, I might as well give up.” Such arrogance and negativity can lead to more suffering and bring a person deeper into the dense darkness of the jungle.

The Supreme Person is the source of all light. Let’s trust Him to show us the way that would lead us back into His loving abode!
