KEAN Cipriano

Kean Cipriano denies that he has a live-in girlfriend who guards him like a hawk. “I’m single,” he says, “and always excited to mingle.”

Do sparks fly on the set of his new teleserye, “PS I Love You,” with Alex Gonzaga (with whom he had a thwarted romance)? “What’s important is that pagandahin namin muna ang project,” he replies. “Saka na ang mga intriga at isyu sa amin.”

Doting mom

Ruffa Gutierrez is always poised and glamorous when on-cam in “Paparazzi.” But during commercial breaks, she turns into a doting mother to her daughters Lorin and Venice whenever they are in the studio. The two adorable girls enjoy tinkering with their iPads while waiting for their mom.

Ruffa told me she doesn’t allow her kids to have cell phones or even Facebook accounts yet. It’s only right that she shields them from public intrusion so her kids can truly savor the joys of childhood by not growing up too fast.

TV5’s “Sapul” and “Aksyon Journalismo’s” Mike Templo is more than flattered to be named Most Handsome News Personality of 2011 by Spot.ph. The dashing lawyer could pass for a matinee idol but he opted to do the news instead of being in the news.

Mike admits having a crush on Solenn Heussaff. But too bad for him, the French/Pinay charmer prefers foreigners and is currently dating an Argentinian.

Wonder if Solenn will give Mike a fair chance if and when they meet. As Mike puts it, “Every time I see her on TV, I wanna protect her. Ayokong may mangyaring masama kay Solenn.”

Ahh! Amor from a knight in shining armor!

Love me, love my God

Pia Guanio and fiance Steve Maggio had a Christian blessing with a few guests in attendance. Their grand wedding will be held in Italy next year. Steve willingly converted to be a Born Again Christian, all for the love of Pia. Very Shamcey Supsup! Love me, love my God!

After Mariel

Speaking of Shamcey, she is being eyed to take over Mariel Rodriguez’s hosting chores in “Pinoy Big Brother.” With the universe at her feet, Shamcey is more than ready to conquer the world of show biz. For sure she will feel instantly at home sa bahay ni kuya.

End of romance

Nadine Samonte and Leandro Munoz’s romance ended even before it began. Too bad it was coterminus with their TV show together. Pack up, change casting in the love department!

Honeymooners

There’s no truth to the buzz that Judy Ann Santos is verbally abused by hubby Ryan Agoncillo. Whoever concocted that rumor has nothing better to do. Sorry rumormongers, whenever I see Juday and Ryan, they seem like honeymooners.

Last gig before hiatus

Marvin Agustin says the Black Eyed Peas (BEP) concert on Oct. 25 at the Mall of Asia open grounds could be the hip hop group’s last show in the Philippines since it will be going on a hiatus. All the more reason you should not miss the show. (Log on to www. futuretainmentinc.com or call 0947-3964539).

Jam fest

Come to Foamy Brews (Home Depot Ortigas) on Oct. 15 from 8 p.m. onwards for a fun-filled jam fest of OPM artists and bands, with raffle prizes at stake and buy-one-take-one promo on all Asia Brewery products.
