Palace showers praise on El Gamma Penumbra
Malacañang on Friday joined in on the celebrations after Filipino shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra became the first grand champion of “Asia’s Got Talent.”

“Pinupuri namin ang pangkat ng El Gamma Penumbra sa kanilang tagumpay bilang kampeon ng Asia’s Got Talent finals sa Singapore,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a text statement.
(We praise the group El Gamma Penumbra for their success as the champion of Asia’s Got Talent in Singapore.)
“Sinasagisag nila ang angking talino at husay ng Pilipino na, sa maraming pagkakataon, ay napatunayan na sa iba’t ibang larangan,” he said.
(They symbolize the talent and skill of Filipinos who, in many instances, have succeeded in different fields.)

Article continues after this advertisementOut of the nine finalists, four were from the Philippines: El Gamma Penumbra (grand champion), soprano singer Gerphil Geraldine Flores (third), dance group Junior New System and singer Gwyneth Dorado.
The four acts consistently impressed judges and viewers of the talent show. El Gamma Penumbra awed the audience with their fascinating and heartwarming numbers, which featured ingenious use of shadow play.
