/ 11:00 PM April 26, 2015

The Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival, now on its ninth year, is calling on filmmakers to submit entries. The fest, which will be held in Kathmandu from July 9 to 12, will showcase films on any subject concerning indigenous people, knowledge, traditions and skills. The fest is likewise open to films with indigenous themes made by nonindigenous filmmakers. All genre (narrative, documentary, shorts, animated and music videos) and technical formats are welcome as well. According to its website, the festival’s goal is “to create a platform for intercultural dialogue among national, international, indigenous and nonindigenous filmmakers, [a discourse that] helps build peace and social harmony within the communities.” For inquiries, e-mail [email protected] and [email protected] or visit www.ifanepal.org.np.
