MANILA, Philippines—Talent manager Annabelle Rama-Gutierrez is facing child abuse charges for allegedly making two of her teenage talents work more than 40 hours a week, even supposedly interfering with the children’s schooling.

The complaint was filed Quezon City prosecutors’ office on Friday by Nadine Montenegro Pla on behalf of her two daughters, who are under a five-year contract with Rama to appear on GMA 7.

Pla also lodged an oral defamation complaint against the talent manager for allegedly circulating rumors about her two daughters—Anykka Allandra, 15, and Alyana Alissandra, 17.

The Department of Labor said that minors could only work for eight hours daily, including their time to eat and sleep, and should not include night work. With Janice Cruz-Pastrana, Radyo Inquirer 990AM
