The exhibit, “Karayom Masterpieces: Amorsolo, Baldemor Atbp.,” had a successful opening at the LRI Art Gallery, 210 Nicanor Garcia st., Bel-Air II, Makati City. Using thread, needle and fabric, the members of the Proud Pinoy Stitchers Club stitched 28 thread paintings based on the masterpieces by National Artists Fernando Amorsolo and Manuel Baldemor.

Proceeds will go to the Philippine Society of Orphan Disorders, which assists children with rare disabilities. After the lecture of PSOD president Cynthia Magdaraog, Helen Ilagan, who has only one arm, delivered an inspiring message.

We salute the Proud Pinoy Stitchers Club, Dee Dee Siytangco, Zonta Metro Ortigas, DMC Philippines and the LRI Design Plaza for bringing those masterpieces to life!
