Alden Richards will host a reality show for the first time via “Bet ng Bayan.” He empathizes with the contestants because he says, “I know what it’s like to be a contestant, and how it feels to be rejected.” He experienced this when he competed on “Starstruck”—and finished only in the Top 60!

He co-hosts the show with Regine Velasguez-Alcasid, who went to different cities with him to search for deserving talents. He always tells contestants to never give up and try their luck again next time. He becomes emotionally attached to those who aren’t well-off. Still, he knows it isn’t the sob story but a contestant’s talent that really counts.

Alden has been in show biz for more than three years now and has already bought a car, a house and a farm. He knows that being humble and real will make him last long in the industry. He enthuses, “You have to learn to get along with people and not let fame go to your head!”
