The vibrant colors of Solenn Heussaff
GMA 7 star Solenn Heussaff has been a student of art since she was a kid.
Recently, it was Solenn’s turn to share what she has learned, as she brought color to the lives of kids (ages 5 to 10) from Barangay Daang Tubo in Quezon City.
Part of the GMA GIVES Salu-Salo Together program, the kiddie art workshop was held at the GMA Network Center on June 25.
GMA GIVES (Guide, Interact, Volunteer, Educate, Serve) is the Kapuso network’s employee-volunteer group. Salu-Salo Together is
a quarterly bonding activity where the group learns new skills or share what they already have with the community.

After the successful exhibit of her friend, Heart Evangelista, Solenn is gathering enough paintings of her own for a one-woman show. “Hopefully, I can hold the exhibit in December,” she said. Solenn is a regular on “Sunday All-Stars” and cohosts “Taste Buddies” with Isabelle Daza.
On workshop day, Solenn brought with her several paintings she did when she was 7 and 8. “Art teaches kids to focus, to be quiet,” she said.
At the end of the activity, prizes were given to three budding artists: Angel, 5, won third place; Joshua, 10, was second placer; and Peter John, 9, was the big winner.
