Gelli de Belen’s anti-aging secret
If Gelli de Belen were to choose, she would pick drama over comedy shows at night. She agrees with the observation that drama serials could have negative effects on viewers. She says that the oppressed characters’ screaming and crying bring back similar experiences we’ve encountered in our lives.
She hopes that TV networks would produce relaxing shows, especially before bedtime. So, she’s happy that she can make people laugh, especially on TV5’s romantic-comedy show, “Confessions of a Torpe.”
She stresses, “A person who laughs a lot does not age quickly. I feel flattered when people say that I look the same as I did 10 years ago. I think that’s because I smile a lot.”
Gelli is happy to work with Ogie Alcasid in the series again. She essays the role of Luzviminda, who’s secretly in love with her best friend, Tupe, portrayed by the seasoned singer-actor.
