Here’s a warm and fuzzy Mother’s Day thought: It is perhaps no exaggeration that Fiery Mom would kill for her brood. Okay, FM would not actually commit murder, but she is reportedly responsible for the demise of Hunky Celeb’s prospects in the industry.
According to a reliable source, FM was personally responsible for derailing HC’s once-promising career.
Why? Simply because FM couldn’t let HC upstage her Talentless Son.
FM saw that HC could act circles around TS. With the help of other influential insiders, FM made sure that HC would remain in TS’ shadow.
Nothing beats a mother’s protection.

Obviously irked, CS exclaimed, “I have nothing to do with their relationship. Those questions should be addressed to them and not to me.”

BFFs no more
Perky Starlet and Sweet Beauty used to be besties.
Unfortunately, a guy drove a wedge between them.
PS and Spritely Cutie were still a couple when SB entered frame. SB allegedly stole SC from PS. Naturally, PS was devastated.
Though they often bumped into each other in the studio, PS and SB would act like they were total strangers.
Asked about SC and SB, PS quipped, “We are no longer in touch.” ’Yun lang!
Orchestral maneuvers
CAMILLE Prats’ son Nathan gathered messages for her.
The latest yucky rumor about Popular Heartthrob’s certain prodigious asset seems manufactured.
Various sources have come up with the same details that, suspiciously, spare PH from total ruin, while hyping his machismo.
Seems the drumbeaters are dredging up the gutter just to beef up PH’s desirability factor.
It’s so reminiscent of the supposed feud between Controversial Star and Wholesome Idol. Was that scandal concocted to pave the way for a high-profile project featuring CS and WI?
Same thing with the instant makeover of Major Star, which was put to good use by another splashy campaign.
If these events were orchestrated, we know who the conductor was.
Meddling mom

Here’s another Mother’s Day story. Beautiful Starlet was in danger of losing a new project.
Turned out, her Feisty Mom was throwing her weight around on the set. FM just couldn’t help meddling, incurring the ire of cast and crew, including Closeted Costar.
The big bosses had to intervene, and told BS to ask FM to stay home. Or get sacked.
FM was barred from the set.
According to a spy, FM was also the reason that Handsome Hunk stopped his pursuit of BS.
HH was put off by nosy FM.

Miracle in the sand
Highlight of the “Himala sa Buhangin,” an outdoor arts and music festival in the Paoay sand dunes of Ilocos Norte, was the unveiling yesterday of a life-size statue of Elsa, the faith healer played by Nora Aunor in Ishmael Bernal’s film “Himala.”
The sculpture was crafted by artist Gerry Leonardo, a teacher at the Philippine High School for the Arts.
Bernal’s “Himala” was shot in the sand dunes in 1982. The “Himala sa Buhangin” fest was one of the special events in the La Milagrosa Provincial Fiesta, which honors Ilocos Norte’s patroness, La Virgen Milagrosa de Badoc.
Nathan’s surprise
Weeks ago, while Camille Prats was busy at work, her son Nathan started visiting important people in her life and asked them to write special messages on a card for his mom.
“I want to make Mommy happy!” Nathan said. He collected messages from his grandparents, “nongnong” John Prats, sister Mimi and Isabel Oli.
“Nathan loves surprising his Mom,” John Prats, Camille’s brother and Nathan’s godfather said.
The card is set to came out today on Mother’s Day in a national newspaper and on a billboard.
“When we learned that Nathan wanted to surprise his mom, we decided to help him make it as special as possible,” said Aubrey Inigo, product manager for Bonakid Pre-School.
