MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered a 20-day suspension against the four police officers over the questionable blotter entry of the case of actor Vhong Navarro.

In a memorandum, Internal Affairs Service Superintendent Oriel Bragais said the policemen were found liable for neglect of duty and are suspended for 20 days from service.

FEATURED STORIES

Suspended were Senior Inspector Eduardo Alcantara, Police Officer 3 Dalmacio Lumiuan Jr., PO3 Eugene Pugal, and PO3 Rolly Laureto, who were all from the District Investigation and Detection Management Division of the Southern Police District (SPD).

They were present when actor Navarro supposedly signed a police blotter admitting that he raped model Deniece Cornejo. Navarro was then brought to the SPD after he was allegedly mauled by businessman Cedric Lee at the condominium unit of Cornejo. Navarro claimed he was intimated to sign the blotter.
