MANILA, Philippines—An unidentified man allegedly tried to enter the house of comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro after he appeared on television and gave details of what happened to him, his lawyer told reporters Monday.

Atty. Dennis Manalo said Navarro told him that a man tried to enter his house in Quezon City after his interview with Boy Abunda last Sunday.

“He was not able to enter the house but he was shouting ‘buksan mo ang gate, buksan mo ang gate’ (Open the gate, open the gate),” Manalo said, adding that the man circled the house several times.

Manalo said Navarro’s family believes the incident is part of the threats he allegedly received from the group of men led by businessman Cedric Lee who, Navarro claimed, mauled him on Wednesday night at a condo unit in Taguig City.

No details were given on where Navarro’s house is and who was or were in the house when the alleged incident occurred.
