Sweet star’s dark secret

/ 06:55 PM September 03, 2011

DEREK Ramsay

Soap Star has one of the sweetest faces in the biz.

Who knew that beneath the angelic facade lies a deep, dark secret?

Although she is gainfully employed in her home studio, SS allegedly moonlights as a rent girl.

FEATURED STORIES

SS was purportedly spotted checking in a five-star resort in Palawan with a rich benefactor in tow.

Curiously, the source of the rumor is Respected Colleague in the same entertainment company as SS. Too close for comfort?

Wrong shop

Beautiful Actress was hired by a local clothing company as endorser.

As far as the clients are concerned, they have a cordial working relationship with BA.

A mole, however, caught BA shopping for clothes in an outlet other than the firm she’s modeling for.

Apparently, BA prefers foreign labels over her local brand.

Colonial mentality, anyone?

Torn between two comics

Pretty Mestiza will not confirm it, of course, but she is suspected as the reason that Top Comic broke up with High-Profile Girlfriend.

TC allegedly gifted PM with a pricey tote, right under HG’s pert nose.

Then again, Younger Comedian is reportedly pursuing PM, too. PM insists, however, that YC, scion of Legendary Star, has yet to openly declare his romantic intentions.

Clash of the titans

ISABELLE Daza

Veteran Insider 1 is the sworn enemy of Veteran Insider 2.

Those in the know make sure that VI1 and VI2 are not on the same guest list for industry events.

During a recent lavish party, however, VI1 and VI2 arrived at the same time. Sparks didn’t fly;  and the two were on their best behavior.

On their last encounter in a studio, VI1 berated VI2 for being hoi polloi. In retaliation, VI2 questioned the dubious source of VI1’s wealth.

Depressed exec

The lackluster performance of a pet project has taken its toll on Top Exec, according to a mole.

TE is purportedly down in the dumps, despondent that the project didn’t do well as expected.

It was TE’s chance to prove naysayers wrong. Unfortunately, TE was mistaken and the critics were correct. Perhaps TE can take consolation in the fact that Rival Exec’s project also floundered.

Goodbye ‘SNN,’ hello ‘Bandila’

Starting October 3, ABS-CBN’s late evening newscast “Bandila” airs earlier, and with Boy Abunda joining news anchors Karen Davila, Julius Babao and Ces Orena-Drilon.

Abunda’s segments will focus on news stories in the tradition of “SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon),” the entertainment magazine program that he hosts. “SNN” airs its last episode on September 9. Abunda’s “SNN” co-host Bianca Gonzales may be assigned to another show.

Top of the Tabloids

The top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (and why we are moved if we are moved):

Hindi raw nagpapasweldo ng tama, Angelica Jones inireklamo ng personal driver at alalay. (Ay,  parang si ano…)
