Holiday on a budget on TLC’s new travel show

MANILA, Philippines – Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer are on a mission – to track down the best budget and luxury holiday destinations, in order to show viewers how to beat the system and enjoy the best for less.

Travelling over 30,000 kilometers across three continents, and using more than 10 different forms of transport, Kirstie and Phil find the best holiday deals on the market at every price point in VACATION, VACATION, VACATION. Budget and bijou or grand and glamorous, the pair evaluate a wide range of low-end and high-end options, providing holidaymakers with practical advice on how and where to take that next vacation. The eight-part series premieres every Monday at 9.30 pm., on TLC starting November 25 with encores every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., Thursday at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In each half-hour episode, Kirstie and Phil tackle one type of holiday – be it a romantic weekend or an outdoor adventure – or visit one destination like Tuscany or St Moritz. One of them is charged with finding the best value budget vacation, while the other treats viewers to a peek at lavish luxury and provides a cheat’s guide on how to get it without breaking the bank. Kirstie and Phil have to devise their side of the holiday on whatever money they’re given, sourcing activities, meals and accommodation.

Whether it’s Ibiza or Iceland, Marrakesh or the Maldives, each episode is packed with destination information and most importantly, tips on what’s worth spending hard-earned cash on and what isn’t. The pair road-tests all the various options to give viewers the lowdown on where to stay and what do when you’re there. Kirstie and Phil will give honest and thorough reviews of the deals they come across, and at the end of each show, they’ll have to decide which holiday was better – the budget, or the blow-out. From cheap boutique hotels in the Mediterranean to the most expensive of cruises, they will find out if holiday makers get true value for their money.
