Nora Aunor’s coming TV5 mini-series, “Sa Ngalan Ng Ina,” reunites onscreen with her ex-husband Christopher de Leon and their son Ian. It’s been 25 years since Maryo J. De Los Reyes directed all three in “I Love You Mama, I Love You Papa.”

Although “very happy” with the casting, Nora, 58, admitted on Tuesday that she was having the jitters. “Ang tagal na ‘di ako umarte, tapos biglang si Boyet at anak ko pa ang kasama ko… nakakatakot,” Nora told the Inquirer during a press conference.

She said one of the things she missed about show biz was working with high-caliber actors such as Boyet. “Sa mga lalaking artista…  idol ko ‘yan— at‘di lang dahil tatay siya ng anak ko.”

Ian, who was 10 at the time of “I Love You Mama…” said he was surprised upon receiving the invitation to join the cast of the series. “[But] “I’m happy that we’re doing a project together again,” he said.

Describing his parents as artists “on an entirely different level,” Ian couldn’t help but feel the pressure. “I’ll be sure to pray before every scene, and use all that I’ve inherited from them to do the job well,” he said, and jested, “Good luck na lang sa ‘kin.”

In the political drama, Nora plays a woman forced to run for governor in a Central Luzon province after her husband (Bembol Roco) was assassinated. Boyet plays Elena’s political rival with whom she shares a mysterious past. Mario O’Hara directs the series, which will also star Eugene Domingo, Rosanna Roces and Suzette Ranillo.

O’Hara directed Nora, Boyet, and Bembol in “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos” (1976).
