Mila del Sol, Urian lifetime awardee

The critics’ group Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino has chosen veteran actress Mila del Sol as this year’s recipient of the Natatanging Gawad Urian (lifetime achievement award).

Manunuri member Roland Tolentino told the Inquirer: “Mila marks the first generation of film stars, (who were introduced) in Philippine cinema’s prewar years.

She also marks its successful transition thereafter—working until the present time.”

The Urian Awards is set on June 18 at the NBC Tent. Bayani San Diego Jr.
