Roderick Paulate is overwhelmed by the rave reviews of his performance in “Zombadings.”
“It was just a brief appearance and I didn’t expect that my role would create such an impact onscreen,” Dick said. “The character is serious pero comedy ang dating sa audience. It’s funny without trying hard to be funny.”
“Zombadings” will make Dick’s charisma zoom all the more.
Different story
Direk Joey Reyes is delighted to be at the helm of “House Husband” which stars Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.
“They have both matured as actors, based on their personal growth as a couple,” said Direk Joey, who explained that the film is not a sequel of “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.”
“It’s a completely different story. It’s about a man forced to take care of the household and kids while the wife works. It’s very today! It also deals with mutual respect for the role of the sexes,” he said.
Juday and Ryan have proven that the couple who have fun together stays on top of the box office together.
Positive vibes
When Mr. Fu approached Sarah Geronimo for a quick interview at the concert of Erik Santos, he told her that he always plays her songs on his radio show on 103.5 Wow FM.
Sarah shot back, “Oh! DJ ka ba?”
Mr. Fu didn’t feel offended and proceeded with the interview. It just goes to show what a trooper he is.
“That incident won’t change my admiration for Sarah,” he said. “I have always been a fan of Sarah. I will still play her songs. I just hope that she knows me na para close na kami. May ganun?”
If only Mr. Fu’s positive vibes could be contagious so as to lessen the ‘Nega’ folks in the biz. NEGAnun?
Paris in Manila
It’s amusing to read Paris Hilton’s tweet when she arrived in Manila: “Maayong buntag. Kamusta kayo?” She certainly knows how to endear herself to Pinoys instantly.
Too bad she lost two iPhones upon her arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. What a way to welcome the heiress!
If and when she and Jinkee Pacquiao push through with their plan to put up a hotel, wonder what their combined tastes would come up with. Hollywood chic meets Visayan charm.
Bravo to the The “2 P’s”: Pacquiao’s wifey and Paris! Hmmm … maybe their hotel ought to be called “The 2 P’s Place” with both of them wearing bikinis in their logo.
Backup
Gary V is planning a major concert tour. But this time it will be his kids, Paolo, Gab and Kiana, who will take center stage, with Gary as backup. They will be out of his shadow as the proud dad lets them shine on their own.
Nora’s guy
As we go to press, Nora Aunor’s whatchamacallit partner John Rendez is scheduled to arrive from the States. Ate Guy clarified that John is not her lover, but he is one friend who has stood by her through all her ups and downs.
Concerned colleagues of the Superstar are hoping that John won’t cause undue trouble in Guy’s comeback projects. He should lift her up and not pull her down.
With John’s constant presence in Guy’s tumultuous life, does that make him a significant or an insignificant other?
