Fans have fun amid rain at Makati Circuitfest

Downtown Fiction continues electrifying performance despite the light rain during the Circuitfest 2013 at the Makati Circuitfest Saturday, May 25. MATIKAS SANTOS

MANILA, Philippines – Rains failed to dampen the spirits of the audience at the Circuitfest 2013: Music and Skate festival Saturday.

At about 5 p.m., a light drizzle began to fall over the Circuit Makati grounds as the band This Century was finishing their performance.

The drizzle persisted into the performance of the band Downtown Fiction who refused to let the light rain slow down their performance.

Some members of the audience brought out raincoats and umbrellas while others did not mind the rain, refusing to leave the open concert grounds.

Cameron Leahy, lead vocalist of Downtown Fiction, set the audience on fire when he shouted to the audience “Manila get those hands in the air!”

“Are you ready for the best time of your life? Give me everything you’ve got,” he went on.

Leahy electrified the audience even more when he acknowledged their enthusiasm by shouting “You guys are amazing! I believe every single person here can jump, are you with me?”

Other performing bands are Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, All Star Weekend, among others.

Earlier, A+ Dropouts, This Century, and YouTube sensation Megan Nicole also performed live.

Circuitfest also features live skateboard performances from Fil-Am Willy Santos and Riley Hawk, son of legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk.
