“Our Filipino fans were just so welcoming the first time we were there. The first was just a regular show but this time (for Circuit Fest) we are really excited,” Taylor Jardine, vocalist of the five-piece band told INQUIRER.net in a recent interview.
While their first trip to the Philippines had been an “awesome experience,” Jardine said that with a new record in the pipeline, We Are the In Crowd was gearing to give its fans a taste of their new songs.
Jardine said that they have been working hard, writing and recording new songs for their second album which she estimated could be out late this year.
Singles from the album could be released from October to January, she said.
“The record’s not done yet but as for our sound, well, we don’t really want to steer too far away from that. Since our formative years there have been changes but hopefully this is going to be a good one for us,” Jardine said.
Twitter played an important part in connecting to their Filipino fans, recalled the vocalist.
“I was tweeting and my whole feed was about the festival. Our fans in Manila have been tweeting about it so much it’s awesome,” Jardine mused.
We Are the In Crowd is set to rock the Globe Circuit Events Ground in Makati City on Saturday, performing with seven other international bands and YouTube sensation Megan Nicole.
The day-long music and skate fest will also feature professional skateboarders Willy Santos and Riley Hawk.
