Echo wins in Newport fest

Jericho Rosales

Jericho Rosales is one of three recipients of outstanding achievement in acting honors at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California last week. Rosales won for his film “Alagwa.” The other winners were Michael Shannon for “The Iceman” and Onata Aprile for “What Maisie Knew.” “Alagwa” director Ian Loreños, who was in the United States, told the Inquirer via e-mail: “Echo couldn’t believe he won at Newport fest for a second time.” In 2011, Rosales was cited for Francis de la Torre’s “Subject: I Love You.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
