Richard Somes’ “Mariposa in the Cage of the Night” will join four other Filipino films in this year’s Far East Film Festival, to be held in Udine, Italy, from April 19 to 27. Also to be screened are Erik Matti’s “Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles,” Chris Martinez’s “I Do Bidoo Bidoo” and Lawrence Fajardo’s “The Strangers.” Dubbed “The Quiet Man Passes,” a special tribute to the late Filipino filmmaker Mario O’Hara will likewise be held with a screening of his 2000 film “Demons (Pangarap ng Puso).” Bayani San Diego Jr.
