MANILA, Philippines — The AVICII Live set this Thursday is cancelled and reset to May, a statement from the concert organizers said on the same day.

“We would like to formally announce that AVICII Live in Manila, slated initially for April 4, 2013 will be rescheduled to May 15, 2013, at the same venue – SM MOA Arena,” the At Night/Ash Alliance said.

It added that other cancelled shows included two in Brisbane, Perth, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Tokyo, Kobe, Mumbai and Delhi.

The statement cited the performer’s health as the reason for the cancellation.

“2x Grammy-nominated DJ/producer AVICII is postponing his Asian tour on advice from his doctors. The 23 year old superstar has required hospitalization several times in the last six months. His doctors have restricted his travel in order that he may make a complete recovery and return to a full tour schedule later this year.”

All tickets and table reservations will be honored on the new date: MAY 15, Mall of Asia Arena, the organizers said.

Those who bought tickets have been asked to call SM Tickets at +632.470.2222 and for VIP inquiries at +63917.550.8888.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and we look forward to seeing you all on May 15 2013,” the organizers said.
