Aga Muhlach off to the North Pole
Aga muhlach is one of the most appreciative celebrities around. Whether you write a short or a lengthy article about him, he goes out of his way to call or text you just to say thank you. Too bad I missed two of his calls the past days since I was in a shoot.
So he sent me an invitation to his birthday dinner on August 12 via Facebook. It’s been ages since I last saw Aga, but since we go a long way back, time apart doesn’t diminish the strength of our friendship.
Every time I am embroiled in a controversy, Aga is one of the first who checks on me. I will never forget the time he told me to stop granting interviews about a major issue I was involved in because it would do me more harm than good.
I am really looking forward to bonding with him and his fab wife Charlene on Friday. Heard that he is off to the North Pole for his coming docu series on TV5. Aga ought to meet up with Santa Claus there because he is an all-year round Santa bearing intangible gifts of friendship, devotion and love, which he shares in great abundance.
Not yet ready
Even if Ara Mina feels very secure with her businessman boyfriend, she’s not yet ready to settle down. “I still have many plans and dreams,” she says. “I’m not the type of girl who would depend on a man. So if and when I get married, I still want to earn my own keep. Baka nga maunahan pa ako ni Cristine (Reyes) and Rayver (Cruz).”
She’s happy that her sister has found her match in Rayver. Has she seen Manny Pacquiao, who was being linked to her many controversies ago? “I don’t watch his fights because I’m usually asleep when it’s aired early in the day,” she says. “But I’m proud of him. I just feel quite bad that ’di niya ako pinagtanggol mabuti noong na-link kami. Dinaan niya lang lahat sa tawa at ngiti ang sagot sa mga interview. Pero tapos na yun. Happy na kami lahat.”
Aside from Pacman, there was also an issue about her and Aiko Melendez since they have the same ex, Jomari Yllana. “Nagkita kami sa isang event pero ’di kami nagbatian,” she says. “Nagpapakiramdaman pa. The right time will come at magkakaayos din kami.”
Show biz is such a small world, yet big issues come between its folks.
