Benito Bautista’s ‘Harana’ wins in San Francisco filmfest

MANILA, Philippines — Benito Bautista’s “Harana” won the Audience Award for Documentary at the Center for Asian American Media Film Festival in San Francisco, according to
Babyruth Villarama-Gutierrez of Voyage Studio, which edited the documentary.

Editor Chuck Gutierrez told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that the honor was a fitting tribute to Harana Kings Celestino Aniel and Felipe Alonzo who had just passed away.
