“Manay” Gina GINA de Venecia recently hosted a joint party at her South Forbes abode for journalists, Deedee Siytangco and Joanne Rae Ramirez, who are celebrating their birthdays this month.
Her parties are known for their uniquely exciting themes. The latest had colorful costumes with matching shawls, as well as make-up kits for guests who included Cielo Rivera, Sandee Masigan, Charisse Chiudian, Joy Buensalido, Leila Contes Paderanga, Domini Torrevillas, Lovely Romulo, Marilou Contes Mendoza, Mila Alora, Annie Ringor, Lita Esteban, Tootsy Angara, Mila Magsaysay Valenzuela and this writer.
We had a wonderful time updating the group about our respective activities: Tootsy was with Mila discussing senatorial candidate Sonny Angara’s advocacy for education, because he wants to help impoverished but talented students gain economic independence. Mila talked about the efforts of her brother, Ramon Magsaysay Jr., to continue his beloved father’s projects for the country.
When you’re with journalists and PR practitioners, getting wind of the latest and juiciest political issues is a bonus. May the best senatorial candidates win! Happy birthday, Deedee and Joanne Rae!
