RICHARD Gutierrez

Ask any young actress about her dream leading man. The instant answer will most likely be: Richard Gutierrez.

Maybe it has to do with the unwitting endorsement of actress-comedienne Eugene Domingo, who said, “Super malambot at masarap ang lips ni Richard!” And she has kissed quite a few men in the line of duty.

FHM magazine’s sexiest Pinay this year, Sam Pinto, has been quoted saying that Chard “is such a joy to be with, on and off camera.”

For big sis

The actor certainly knows how to give members of the opposite sex tender loving care. He explains, “I have only one sister, my Ate Ruffa—all of us in the family always give her love and respect. In some aspects, all his brothers treat her as an equal. But we really see to it that we give her extra affection.”

After his successful TV stint as Captain Barbell, the actor is currently enjoying a self-imposed break in Los Angeles, California. He has told friends in Manila that he is having a grand time with cousins, relatives and other friends there.

But he is also taking the opportunity to do extensive workouts, says the aspiring triathlete. Biking, running and swimming help maintain his superhero physique. “I have to be prepared for a very easy schedule,” the actor says.

On top of his work agenda are new editions of “Planet Philippines” and “Anatomy Disasters,” eco-themed documentary specials on GMA 7. Previous editions have won awards in international TV festivals.

Also on Richard’s timetable is hosting a new season of “Survivor: Philippines,” also on GMA 7, in another foreign setting. It was held on a remote jungle island in Thailand last year.

More product endorsements await him as well. His most recent billboard for Flawless skin center is currently a highway attraction. He hopes it won’t be taken down by the Metro Manila Development Authority, like some other billboards, so he could still see it when he comes back from the West Coast.

Valentine movie

Another major undertaking in the pipeline is his next Valentine’s Day movie, which goes into full production, in the last quarter of 2011. All of Richard’s love-season offerings have been certified blockbusters.

And, of course, the actor will continue to work on his favorite charities upon his return. Unknown to many, Richard sends several underprivileged children to school. His wish is to have more time for worthy humanitarian causes.
