The journey of ‘Dirty Dancing’
CAPE TOWN—In this interview with the lead stars of the coming play “Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage,” Bryony Whitfield and Gareth Bailey discussed the journey they took to prepare for their respective roles.
The duo, with costar Mila de Biaggi, visited Manila for a promo tour last week (March 15 to 17).
The entire cast and crew will be back in July for the show’s limited, three-week run. Before Manila, they will proceed to two other Asian cities: Hong Kong and Singapore.
The play is based on the hit 1987 movie that originally starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in the roles now tackled by Bailey and Whitfield.
