11 PH films in first Asean film festival

A total of 11 Filipino feature films will be shown in the maiden edition of the Asean International Film Festival and Awards, to be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from March 28 to 30.

Among the Filipino feature films in the Asean fest lineup are: Tyrone Acierto’s “The Grave Bandits,” Whammy Alcazaren’s “Colossal,” Lawrence Fajardo’s “Posas,” Marie Jamora’s “Ang Nawawala,” Ian Dean Loreños’ “Alagwa,” Gutierrez Mangansakan II’s “Qiyamah,” Emmanuel Quindo Palo’s “Santa Niña,” Vincent Sandoval’s “Aparisyon,” Richard Somes’ “Supremo” and Paul Sta. Ana’s “Oros.”

A student’s short film, Juan Paulo Reyes’ “Ode to Home,” will also be screened. Bayani San Diego Jr.
