Heard on the Radyo Inquirer show “Kliq Showbiz” (dzIQ 990 AM, Monday to Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.): Vicious Veteran maltreated Pretty Starlet on the set of a project that flopped.
Seems VV is a repeat offender. This time around, VV made sure that a slapping scene with PS was all-too-realistic. Let’s just say the highly charged scene left PS with ringing ears.
Plus, VV embarrassed PS in front of the cast and crew, cursing and berating PS for messing up on the set.
Of course PS refuses to work with VV again. Is this why VV isn’t likely to guest in PS’ new project?
And is PS that powerful now?
Rumor has it
If there are rumors about the marital problems of Controversial Starlet and Popular Star, blame Scandalous Celebrity.
SC and minions are fanning the flames—spreading the scuttlebutt about the discord between CS and PS.
It’s not that SC has designs on PS still—since they had a scandalous affair long ago.
Is it then because SC merely enjoys destroying the lives of others?
Misery loves company.
Black and blue
Picked up from the Inquirer tabloid Bandera: Who could’ve guessed that strong-willed Major Star fell victim to Abusive Lover?
MS is hopelessly smitten with AL. In a show biz gathering, MS once showed off a unique gift from AL.
But things have taken a turn for the worse and, instead of affection, AL has enveloped MS in hostility.
Is this why MS flew the coop? It was all over town last week: MS allegedly left their love nest, hoping that AL would cool off and maybe change for the better.
Banned
Scandalous Personality became too hot to handle for Playboy Star.
SP caused so much trouble in the life of PS and Pugnacious Partner, that Influential Insider had to intervene.
II purportedly banned SP from attending several high-profile events that involved PS.
SP was too scared to show up at the gatherings anyway, because PP’s supporters, including Unstable Relative, threatened to harm her.
UR allegedly vowed to throw muriatic acid on SP’s heavily enhanced face.
Back to zero
Handsome Hunk promised to mend his ways and focus on work.
HH, however, is back to old vices, unable to shake off the lure of illicit drugs.
Concerned family members hope to stage an intervention, but HH refuses to enter rehab.
Is it too late to save HH from himself?
Top of the talk shows
For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (And why we are moved, if we are moved):
Kyla on becoming a mother soon: “Sobrang excited ako. Lahat ng makita ko na pang-baby gusto kong bilhin!” (You need to get past delivery first, mom.)
Alden Richards on figuring in a minor road accident with a tricycle: “Nung una gusto ko talagang pagbayarin yung driver, kasi perwisyo. Kaya lang naawa naman ako. No read-no write siya, tapos may pwesto lang daw sila sa palengke … It could’ve been worse.” (True, actually.)
Gretchen Barretto on her daughter Dominique’s decision to go to college in Europe: “Malaki na siya. She’s turning 18. Matalinong bata siya, kaya niya lahat kaya pinapanood ko na lang siya. Minsan nga ako pa binibigyan niya ng advice.” (Lucky, too. All she had to do was uh, decide?)
Aljur Abrenica on playing a macho dancer: “Nagtatanong ako sa mga kaibigan ko kung may kakilala sila na sumasayaw talaga sa bar para maturuan ako.” (Special skills, agree!)
Angelika de la Cruz on rumors that she plans to enter politics: “Sa triathlon po ako tatakbo!” (Nice one.)
Dingdong Dantes on his experience riding a jet: “A dream come true! I didn’t want it to end … ’di kakayanin ni [Marian] ’yun. Sa roller coaster nga ayaw sumakay nun, eh. Baka mabasag ’yung salamin ng cockpit sa lakas ng sigaw niya!” (Ay, nilaglag ang GF!)
Paulo Avelino on Sarah Geronimo: “Sarah is very quiet, very kind … nakakatawa rin.” (Uyy.)
Ai-Ai de las Alas’ message to boyfriend Jed Salang after a big misunderstanding: “I love you, Babe. Thank you for not giving up on us. Thank you na hinabol mo ako at ’di ka nawalan ng pag-asa.” (Hello?)
Ai-Ai on rumors that Jed physically abuses her: “’Di totoo ’yun. Kung binubugbog ako ni Jed, nasa ospital na ako. Ang laki niya tapos ang liit ko!”
Eva Cariño on accepting BB Gandanghari: “Noong una, mahirap tanggapin. Nasabi ko sa sarili ko na ’di ko kaya … nanalangin ako sa Diyos na sana matanggap at maintindihan ko si BB dahil anak ko siya.” (BB will do fine, mom.)
Eva on her relationship with BB: “Mas naging close na kami ngayon. Dati kasi ’di na kami nag-uusap … mas minahal ko siya ngayon kasi parang nag-iisa na siya kung pababayaan ko pa.” (We read somewhere: “Home is where, if you go there, they have to take you in.”)
BB Gandanghari on being rejected: “Napakasakit na hindi matanggap ’yung pagkatao ko. This is not just a matter of what I want. Ito ang natural ko so I cannot really do anything.” (All right, now that BB’s “Halik ng Tarantula” is about to be shown, we expect this tearful exchanges to be over soon.)
Daniel Padilla on entering show biz: “Ayoko nung una mag-artista. Eh kaso ’di naman po ako nag-aaral ng mabuti. So kesa wala akong gawin, mas mabuting mag-artista na lang ako at makatulong kay ermats.” (Ganu’n lang ka-casual.)
Sarah Geronimo on hugging Kim Chiu backstage at a recent event (both girls were romantically linked to Gerald Anderson): “Kailangan ni Kim ng yakap … at kailangan ko rin ’yun! Hahaha!” (Hahaha wasn’t needed.)
