Drug-using teen star loses out on prestigious project

KIM CHIU sticks to the script.

Teen star was tapped to play a pivotal part in a prestigious project. Movie Insider, however, had second thoughts after meeting TS.

Shattering the squeaky-clean image built by home studio, TS smoked and cursed like a thug during the meeting.

Worse, MI learned that TS was hooked on alcohol and weed, and promptly dumped the star, who was replaced by Young Newcomer from a different company.

Another golden opportunity lost to bad habits.

Perhaps MI got nervous because the project is set in a place where booze and pot are readily available.

Perfumed nightmare

Handsome Hunk earned a nasty reputation for his body odor and dragon breath.

Sexy Starlet complained that HH needed more than a fistful of Tic Tacs when they had a kissing scene.

HH made the girls weak-kneed for the wrong reasons.

On the set of a high-profile project in a mountain getaway, coworkers almost fainted upon catching a whiff of HH. Was he reluctant to shower because the water was way too cold? Ew.

Starting young

From the INQUIRER tabloid Bandera, a mole related that Hunky Newbie has a proclivity for dangerous liaisons.

Spy was shocked to discover the name of HN on the guest list for… not an ordinary gathering of teeners, but a night of booze, drugs and sex.

In short, HN—who joined the biz via the reality show route—belongs to an online community of closeted gays who meet periodically to indulge in decadent pleasures.

Talk about starting young.

Two-timer

Gorgeous Starlet bumped into Hunky Actor at a party. Obviously soused, GS confronted HA.

NIKKI Gil’s daring role upsets her boyfriend.

The backstory: Years ago, HA courted GS, who rejected him upon learning that he was also wooing Sweet Starlet.

At the recent party, GS told HA: “I would’ve gone steady with you, but I heard about the bracelet that you gave SS. [But] had I known you’d be this hot, I wouldn’t have cared that you had her on the side.”

This was months before GS hooked up with Cute Idol.

Baron boo-boo

Heard on Radyo Inquirer’s “Kliq Showbiz” program (dzIQ 990 AM, Monday to Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.): Baron Geisler again caused trouble on the set of the TV5 series “Kidlat” last week, according to a production insider.

Other staffers just rolled their eyes, but fellow actor Jerald Napoles almost lost his cool after an incessant harangue from a “tipsy” Baron, said a source.

Soon enough, lead star Derek Ramsay got upset, too. After a heated exchange of words with Derek, Baron left the set apparently because production heads told him to go home.

Baron later sent apologetic text messages to Derek, said the same mole.

TV5 exec Perci Intalan confirmed that the network was “looking into the issue.”

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

BB Gandanghari on being linked to “Halik ng Tarantula” leading men Jovic Monsod and Jet Alcantara: “We have to create chemistry and build trust… So playgirl lang ang peg! I’m attracted to these guys because of  their passion for theater. Parang ayaw mong haluan ng kung anu-ano… baka madiskaril.” (Spoken like a true professional. Luveet!)

BB, asked if she would invite her brothers to watch the play: “I don’t want to push it. ’Yung mga pamangkin kong lalake, interesadong manood.” (Seems acceptance skipped a generation.)

Mommy Dionisia on her new mansion: “Sabi ko kay Manny (Pacquiao), ‘Anak, pagawaan mo ako ng bahay, wala na akong ipapagawang iba.’” (How much space does one need? )

Mommy Dionisia claiming that the Virgin Mary continues to appear to her: “Ang sabi niya, ‘Huwag kayong malungkot. Ako ang magdidisiplina ng anak mo.’” (May dialogue!)

Mommy Dionisia, asked if she had cosmetic surgery: “I’m sorry, ’di ako nagpaiba ng mukha… baka pagalitan ako ng Diyos!” (Tell that to…)

Kylie Padilla, asked about the sweetest thing Aljur Abrenica ever said to her: “Sabi niya, pagdating ng panahon gusto niya ako ’yung pakakasalan niya.” (Sigh.)

Pauleen Luna, asked about the sweetest thing she has done for Vic Sotto: “Ipinagluluto ko siya—steak, roast chicken…”(Awwwwwwwww…)

KARYLLE is civil to ex-flame.

Karylle on rumors that she was snubbed by ex-boyfriend Dingdong Dantes at an event: “Nag-hello kami. ’Di kami nag-usap… for now, okay na ’yung nagpapansinan lang kami.” (That could be enough for forever.)

Nikki Gil, asked if boyfriend Billy Crawford was affected by her intimate scenes with Patrick Garcia in “Apoy sa Dagat”: Hindi naman naging issue… until napanood niya! Sabi niya, ‘I understand but I don’t have to like it.” (That’s all you can ask for sometimes: Understanding.)

Zanjoe Marudo on rumors that he proposed to Bea Alonzo last Valentine’s Day: “Hindi pa pwede. Pagagalitan ako [ng mommy niya]! Pero nagbibiruan minsan.” (Magiging seryoso kaya?)

Kim Chiu on rumors that she and Maja Salvador take their fight scenes in “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” seriously: “Huwag na po nating pag-usapan ’yun. Kung ano lang ’yung nasa script, ginagawa lang namin.” (We’re watching. With snacks.)

Gretchen Barretto’s daughter Dominique Cojuangco, asked if she planned to join  show biz: “I don’t like saying I wouldn’t try something because I think life is about trying new things and taking all opportunities.” (That’s a yes?)

Cesar Montano’s alleged mistress (and “Alfredo S. Lim: The Untold Story” costar) Krista Miller denies having an affair with the actor: “He’s my director. I respect him. He loves his family. Alam kong pamilyado siyang tao para magbigay ako ng motibo sa kanya.” (Okay then. We expect this to die down after the movie opens.)
