Psy performs ‘Gangnam Style’, says ‘this is the reason why I’m here’

MANILA, Philippines—After the front acts, Psy finally took the stage on Saturday night at SM MOA Arena.

He said, “This is the reason why I’m here in the Philippines” before he performed the internationally famous “Gangnam Style” song-and-dance number.

The crowd, as usual, recorded the performance with their digital cameras, camera phones and tablets.

Psy was asked to repeat the song after the audience asked for more. This time, Psy requested the people to stop recording the performance and just enjoy it.

“Sing, dance and jump like crazy,” he told the crowd.

He did about seven numbers before ending the show.

“Please keep on supporting me,” he said before disappearing from the stage.

Comedians Ai-Ai delas Alas, Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo earlier performed as opening acts.
