Steven Dy, 36, businessman: “I’m from Cagayan de Oro, and I wonder why there aren’t a lot of ‘pure’ Visayan films these days. I know some indie filmmakers from the south, and I challenge them to tell their stories in Hiligaynon, Waray or Cebuano. I am sure there’s a market for them, and our place is a goldmine of rich stories just waiting to be told!”

Vicky Montalvo, office employee: “‘Princess and I’ had an original plot that we hear was changed, especially during its last two weeks, to favor the character played by Daniel Padilla. Bottom line: The radical shift made a mockery of the series’ 10-month run!”

Ricky Macaraig, televiewer: “Recently, I had a difficult time watching the scenes between Derek Ramsay and his love interest in ‘Kidlat.’ In a previous scene, the actress was with Derek in his pre-‘Kidlat’s persona, as Voltaire.
“It was hard to control my laughter when the same actress was rescued by Derek, now in his superhero costume, with only a mask to cover his face. She must have very poor eyesight, not being able to see that Voltaire and Kidlat are one and the same!”
Sarah Sioson, housewife: “As a newbie in the acting department, Vin Abrenica doesn’t disappoint. In my view, he holds his own in his scenes with Nora Aunor on ‘Never Say Goodbye.’”
