In 2011, the Army Reserve Command designated Lt. Col. Vivian Gonzales as UPLB’s ROTC commandant in 2011—the first woman chosen for the post!

Vivian Gonzales, PhD got her Master’s degree in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines.

When the National Service Training Program was implemented in 2002-03, she was accredited by the Commission on Higher Education to conduct the qualifying course for NSTP’s coordinators, instructors, volunteers and stakeholders.

As course director of Students’ Transformation and Enrichment for Truth-Values Integration and Promotion, she has helped facilitate 58 NSTP qualifying courses participated in by 2,558 faculty members.

On April 29-May 1, STET-VIP Inc. will hold its 11th annual convention, “Kabalikat” Awards, and alumni homecoming at the Scala Retreat House in Bacolod City.  For details, e-mail admin@stetvip.org.
