Sighted dancing ‘under the influence’

/ 09:10 PM August 02, 2011

JUDY Ann Santos

There’s something fishy about Gorgeous Hunk and Beautiful Starlet, one of the more popular pairings in Show Town. BS’ actions and pronouncements have been erratic as of late, and GH has been just as kooky. The two were recently spotted in public, showing more signs of disturbing behavior.

GH and BS danced wildly during a concert. A mole suspected that they were high as kites at the time—particularly since they were in the company of a known user. Dancing under the influence?

Rejected twice

FEATURED STORIES

Handsome Hunk bolted Home Studio, thinking he’d be welcome in Revitalized Channel. Problem was, RC execs found HH’s asking price a tad too steep.

Suddenly homeless, RC’s handlers ran to Top Exec in HS. TE was unimpressed and declined to renew HH’s contract.

HH had no choice but to turn to Rival Studio, where he will now be just one of many cuties vying for the bosses’ attention.

Bad move for HH, who’s just starting a family of his own.

Together again

According to a source, TV5 will team up Nora Aunor with Christopher de Leon in a drama series. Well, that would be an onscreen reunion for the former married couple, who starred in the Mario O’Hara classic film, “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos.”

La Aunor’s first project with TV5 is a month-long drama anthology. Cinemalaya best actress Eugene Domingo shares the screen with the Superstar.

Same mole says Nora is also looking forward to taping an episode for ABS-CBN’s drama series, “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”

Vengeful victim

Child Star was abused, verbally and physically, by a parent who pushed the kid to provide for the entire family. No wonder CS was effective in drama.

On reaching adulthood, CS rebelled and turned to drugs to spite the now-repentant guardian. Too late the heroics.

Arnie museum

VIENNA—The world’s first museum dedicated to former “Governator” and Mister Universe Arnold Schwarzenegger opened its doors Saturday in his birthplace of Thal in southern Austria.

The “Styrian Oak” himself was absent during the event, timed to coincide with his 64th birthday. But he will attend a grander opening at a later date, according to organizers.

Among the 1,000 objects and photos on display are his very first weights, with which the future champion bodybuilder started training, as well as the desk behind which he sat as California governor. AFP

Amy back on top

LONDON—Fans of Amy Winehouse sent her back to the top of Britain’s album chart on Sunday, a week after she was found dead at her home here.

Grammy Award-winning album “Back to Black,” which first hit the top spot in 2007, dislodged fellow soul diva Adele’s “21.” Winehouse’s debut release, “Frank,” recharted at No. 5.

Winehouse occupied five spots on the singles chart top 40 with “Back to Black” landing eighth. A box set of “Frank” and “Back to Black” entered the album chart at No. 10. AFP

Top of the Talk Shows

Top of the talk shows: For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests  (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

EUGENE Domingo willing to go naked

Judy Ann Santos on what keeps her in shape: “Ang gwapo nga ng asawa mo, tapos ikaw lolosyang-losyang. Parang nakakahiya naman! Napapaligiran ng mga magagandang babae ang asawa ko.” (That being the motivation, the new mom should be nothing less than vigilant.)

Cherie Gil on the “impromptu” slap she gave Jean Garcia while taping “Time of My Life”: “I got carried away… it’s part of the job. She’s a pro, I’m a pro… It’s not hurt; it’s work … I won’t apologize… Come on!” (Tanungin kaya si Jean Garcia?)

Jean Garcia, asked if she’s currently dating someone younger: “Merong younger , merong kasing tanda ko, merong mas matanda nang konti… Lumalabas lang ako. Kung magkagustuhan, magko-commit ako. Kung hindienjoy lang!” (Nice. Now, about that slap…)

Kris Bernal on rumors that she’s anorexic: “Hindi po totoo! Kumakain ako nang marami, minsan nga pini-picture-an at bini-video ko na ’yung sarili ko na kumakain ako!” (That’s really unnecessary.)

Eugene Domingo, asked if she’s willing to do frontal nudity for an art film: “Kung gusto pa nila frontal, back, sideways, silhouette, double, single! Kahit huwag na akong mag-damit sa buong pelikula, makakatipid pa tayo sa costume!” (Atta girl.)

CLAUDINE Barretto wishes the barbs would stop.

Claudine Barretto on being swamped by malicious intrigues: “What people  kasi sometimes forget is that kahit na artista ka, eh may pamilya, kaibigan at fans ka ring nasasaktan.” (No, people don’t forget that; on the contrary.)

Claudine’s message to her detractors: “God bless you na lang!” (Amen!)

Erich Gonzales, asked if she’s looking for a relationship: “’Yang love life, hindi ko priority. If ever man na magkaka-boyfriend ako, I prefer a non-show biz guy.” (Is that a no?)

John Lloyd Cruz on rumors that he’s a drunk: “Meron yatang binuong ahensiya ang mundo para huwag kaming tantanan at siraan nang siraan. Pwede naman nilang i-try nang i-try hanggang magsawa sila.” (Is that a yes?)

Christian Bautista on rumors that he’s one of the reasons that Rachelle Ann Go and John Prats broke up: “Hindi ko po alam kung saan nanggaling ang intrigang ito. Nagulat na lang ako kasi pareho ko silang kaibigan.” (Eto pa isa— yes or no?)
