Source of pride

I’m a single woman and a mother of four adopted children. For my last two kids, I went through the process of adoption for seven years—with Atty. Mimi Gumaru helping me pro bono. I was a bohemian in my younger years, and I was used to living alone. But, when I got my kids, a dear friend offered this wise advice: “Love them!” My life has since been dedicated to raising them well.

When my children were small, we often drove to Los Baños to swim and spend the weekend with my brothers—and I took them to church regularly. Now that they’re adults, it sometimes upsets me when they spend so much time with their friends, or come home late.

I’m busy as a bee, but my life is blessed with the joys of motherhood! Happy New Year!
