Kris Aquino-led film ‘Sisterakas’ tops 1st day of MMFF

MANILA, Philippines–“Sisterakas” tops the first day of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in terms of revenue, the Metro Manila Development Authority said Tuesday.

“Sisterakas” is topbilled by President Aquino’s youngest sister Kris, comedians Ai-Ai delas Alas and Vice Ganda, all associated with ABS-CBN or the Kapamilya network.

In a statement released to the media, the MMDA’s official tally has “Sisterakas” on top spot with 39.1 million pesos.

The MMDA added the gross revenue totaled P105 million all over the Philippines on Christmas day.
