Japanese actor in PH film wins in New York

Japanese actor Jacky Woo won best actor for Filipino filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Haruo” at the International Film Festival Manhattan held in New York, according to the fest’s website. Alix confirmed that Woo attended the event and even delivered parts of his acceptance speech in Filipino. Woo is in the cast and is the producer of Alix’s latest indie film “Death March.” Alix is one of the honorees in the 3rd Inquirer Indie Bravo! Tribute. Bayani San Diego Jr.
