Ballroom meltdown
By now, a lot of ink has been spilled about the reported confrontation between Baron Geisler and several TV5 talents during the MVP ball last week.
EDGAR Allan Guzman
Filmmaker Jose Javier Reyes told Rushes that he was chatting with Geisler about the actor’s desire to turn a new leaf— barely an hour before the supposed encounter with Edgar Allan Guzman. Geisler had reportedly taken offense because Guzman didn’t say hi, and threatened to slap the latter.
Noel Ferrer, Guzman’s manager, issued this statement: “It’s an unfortunate incident. Edgar has always looked up to Baron… I hope this doesn’t happen again.”
Wine was said to overflow at the event.
Arnold Vegafria, Geisler’s manager, told Rushes that he had a serious talk with the actor’s family. “I required them to assign a chaperone to Baron everywhere, especially social gatherings.”
Vegafria said Geisler was manic-depressive and undergoing treatment. “He broke up with his (non-showbiz) girlfriend.”
Asked if he wasn’t fed up with Geisler’s public meltdowns, Vegafria said: “Baron and other people with bipolar disorder need understanding.”
Somber season
While the entire room was celebrating to the hilt, Major Star was spotted in a huddle with Top Exec in one corner of a huge party place.
MS looked serious, apparently in no mood to make merry.
Was the somber mood because of a business deal that went awry? MS was stuck with the shorter end of the stick and ended up working, gratis.
All MS asked was to be treated fairly.
Wrong send
Reality Hunk has always been perceived as homophobic. Not a few observers have been turned off by his overbearing, self-righteous ways.
A Production Staffer was once shocked to receive an SMS from RH, obviously sent mistakenly. In the wayward message, RH was asking a certain agent to hook him up with a prospective gay client, having “lots of bills to pay.”

Seasoned Performer can’t help upstaging other entertainers.
SP was slated to sing with Popular Star and Talented Artist. Right before the production number, SP asked an assistant to make sure that PS and TA wore black outfits, as the director specified.
However, SP herself slipped into a red dress. The result was, SP stood out but incurred the ire of colleagues.
