Elton John set to arrive 4 hours before Manila concert

MANILA, Philippines–British pop superstar Elton John will arrive in Manila from Taiwan via private jet at 4 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 8), or four hours before his concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Despite this tight schedule, the singer-songwriter – who has sold more than 250 million records worldwide – will be attending a charity mission in Manila, details of which were not made available to the media.

The concert marks his first time to perform in Manila; it coincides with the Big Dome’s major upgrade, including the installing of new seats in the Upper B section.
