TORONTO—Canada Post has unveiled a pair of commemorative stamps marking the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The domestic and international-rate stamps will be issued on April 29, the couple’s wedding day.
The domestic stamp shows a photo of the couple when they announced their engagement last November. The international stamp bears the official engagement portrait snapped by fashion photographer Mario Testino. Prince William and the Queen Elizabeth approved the stamps.
Canada Post said Friday that it will produce more than 16 million royal wedding stamps.
Royal watchers will be able to buy them at Canadian post offices, online or by mail order.
The last royal wedding stamp by Canada Post was issued in 1948 to honor the 1947 marriage of the Queen and Prince Philip.
