Early-morning breather

EIGENMANN. Bad publicity won’t do her career any good.

Jess Morales, student: “‘Unang Hirit’s’ Morning Star feature is a welcome breather. For two days in a row, it was a joy to watch YouTube sensations, Dello and singer-composer David Michael DiMuzio, being interviewed after they rapped and sang their lungs out.

“But, can the people behind the show think of a better way to go to the next segment without abruptly interrupting a performer while he’s in the middle of his song number?”

Other notes:

Leda Jacinto of Davao City: “Being a rom-com fan, I thought it would take a while for me to get used to watching independent films. But, I was proven wrong a few minutes into watching ‘Thy Womb.’ Nora Aunor was brilliant, especially during her silent moments. You just have to watch those eyes conveying a great variety of emotions!”

Controversies

Fe Sanico, housewife: “Andi Eigenmann is fast becoming synonymous with controversies. After her stormy relationship with her former boyfriend and her early-motherhood drama, she’s in the news once more—this time, involving another breakup. She needs to concentrate on how she can become a better actress and mom to her daughter. Bad publicity won’t do her career any good.”

Serge Damian, office employee: “After the recent ‘clean-up’ drive against DVD pirates on Hidalgo in Quiapo, I think the raiding team needs to revisit the place. The pirates are doing brisk business in some buildings in the area.”
