In the ‘60s, Hollywood had an exciting import in British actress Dana Wynter, who was tall, slim and stylish. She had the bearing to show off her beautiful gowns—and looked good even in shirts and pants. She was elegance personified!
After she married celebrity lawyer Greg Bautzer, she disappeared from the social scene altogether. Like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, Dana helped make slim figures acceptable to fans.
Wynter had attractive eyes like Elizabeth Taylor’s, as well as the sex appeal of
Ava Gardner. She would’ve become a big star and an acclaimed actress if she didn’t let marriage get in the way. In over a dozen films, she proved that she could act!
She was born in Germany, grew up in Africa, and took acting lessons in England before landing gigs in Hollywood. She acted with Kevin Costner before she died at age 79. Like Elaine Stewart, she was beautiful and talented—unfortunately, not in the right place at the right time!
