Faidal, a young Muslim boy, journeys to safety after his parents are killed in a gun battle. He stumbles upon new discoveries along the way, and some of them prove to be overwhelming.
This is the story of “Ang Paglalakbay ng mga Bituin sa Gabing Madilim,” set in Mindanao and directed by Arnel Mardoquo. It is one of the Philippine entries to the 14th Cinemanila International Film Festival, December 5-11 at Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Taguig opens its doors to Cinemanila for the third time. This year’s event, according to festival director Tikoy Aguiluz, will feature a
roster of movies “fresh from A-list international film festivals around the world and outstanding local feature films.”
Among the highlights, Aguiluz announced, are The Young Cinema Night outdoor screening at Bonifacio High Street on Dec. 7 and a Red Carpet Harana awards night at the BGC ampitheater on Dec. 8.
