It’s been six years since Judy Ann Santos made a movie with Piolo Pascual.
Lately, questions about a possible reunion project with her former onscreen leading man have been hounding the 34-year-old star.
Asked about this at the press con for her show “MasterChef,” Juday jokingly quipped: “Can’t we move on?”
She added: “I really can’t say yes, or no … There are no offers or discussions so far.”
Although she acknowledged that anything could happen, Juday was definite about one thing: A comeback movie with Piolo isn’t happening anytime soon, “not this year, not in two years.”
The actress also refused to comment on rumors that she and husband Ryan Agoncillo had reached out to Piolo, but was allegedly ignored by the latter.
“I don’t want to answer that,” she said, “it’s too personal.”
The award-winning actress also pleaded to cut Piolo some slack. “I feel sorry for him because he gets constantly bombarded by negative issues…”
Not meddling
Juday was also pressed to comment on the ongoing tiff between the actor and her close friend Sharon Cuneta.
“It’s hard to give a comment,” said Juday. “I don’t want to meddle in their issues … But I know who I love more.”
New baby?
All intrigues aside, Juday talked about the weeklong vacation she had in Korea with her family.
They celebrated the birthdays of Yohan (Juday’s adopted daughter) and Ryan’s mom (Niña), who just turned 60.
She revealed that she’s raring to have a new baby, now that son Lucho is 2 years old.
“Ryan and I are going to London next year. My new baby could be made in London!” she added.
Different fulfillment
Juday said that hosting the new reality cooking contest “MasterChef” gives her a different sense of fulfillment.
“Hosting used to terrify me, and I never thought I’d be in this line of work,” she said. “But I’m happy that I was able to prove to myself that I’m more than an actress.”
