It was a night of second chances at the SM North Sky Dome recently, as TV5’s reality talent search, “Talentadong Pinoy: Season 3,” brought back five previously eliminated acts to compete in a wild-card episode dubbed “Make It or Break It.”
The five acts deemed too good to be wasted, are: the high-flying Tazmania Dance Group, sing-and-dance quartet Cercado Sisters, sultry singer Sor Apao, six-member ballroom dance group Dancing Is Fun, and power belter Excel Enriquez.
With a shot at becoming this season’s third Hall of Fame inductee, the returning acts gave everything they had. In the end, Dancing Is Fun emerged victorious.
Composed of two teens (Jayson Caro and Carizza Managuite) and four kids (Mico Mora, Christian Managuite, Venus Galban and Elmarie Ramilo), the group from Catarman, Northern Samar, cried and jumped for joy when they were announced as winners by host Ryan Agoncillo. They had obviously impressed judges Joey Reyes, Lucy Torres, Alice Dixson and Mr. Fu.
Asked whether it’s difficult to work with four kids, Jayson told reporters, “No, because they’re really determined and focused. When we teach them new, even complicated, steps, they try their best to learn in as little time as possible. They never give up.”
Dancing Is Fun received a P75,000 cash prize and a berth in the show’s final showdown Battle of the Champions.
“Talentadong Pinoy: Season 3” airs Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
